Greetings HES Families,

Welcome back to a new school year at Hampton Elementary School!

We hope everyone has enjoyed a fun-filled summer with family and friends. Our staff is looking forward to the new school year and welcoming your child to school! Teachers will be reaching out to families this week to welcome your child and invite you to the Open House.

A few information points for you as we begin the week:

HES 2023-2024 Open House – We are looking forward to welcoming our students and their families to kick-off the new school year at our Open House on Thursday, August 31st from 6:30pm – 7:30pm. We’ll start in the gym with the introduction of staff members, followed by classroom visits, and then a sweet treat in the lobby. Bring your inside sneakers, tissue boxes and earphones ahead of the first day!

HES School Fee - School fees can be paid through School Cash Online using the link from our school website. School Cash Online

School fees 2023-2024: 

Total Cost: $60 per student - Gr 3-5 English and French Immersion 

What does the school fee cover? 

Amount Rationale:

$40 - This part of the fee covers all student consumable supplies. With ten months of the year, this works out to $4 a month per student and covers: pencils, erasers, paper, notebooks, duotangs, markers, crayons, glue, art supplies. Items such as scissors and rulers are recycled from year to year and are replenished on an as needed basis. 

$20 - This part of the fee covers student agenda and performances. For example, students will receive a student agenda ($8), school performances, skating sessions at the Hampton Community Centre in the Fall or Winter and one swimming session in June. (Additional fees may be required for individual class events/field trips) 

Families are required to provide the following: 

•boxes of tissue (2-3 per student)

•1 set of inexpensive ear buds/ ear phones (ear phones preferred) 

•Indoor sneakers 

•1 backpack 

•1 lunch bag 

**There may be times towards the end of the year when items such as pencils are requested to be replenished. 

HES PSSC— The HES PSSC is a great way to get involved and volunteer at our school! Expressions of interest should be sent to Ms. Donovan via email: megan.donovan@nbed.nb.ca

HES Home and School - The Home and School Association is another great way to get involved and volunteer at our school. H&S Association works very closely with the staff and administration of the school to support students and teachers in a variety of ways.
